Mason: COVID-19 pre-K through grade 12 case data increasingly on public display due to Ohio governor’s order

Kwan-Yin Nixon has a daughter in third grade at Mason Elementary. Nixon appreciates the fact Mason school leaders are now publishing weekly COVID-19 case counts.

“The fact they want to be so transparent and let the people know, that helps,” Nixon said. “It doesn’t so much ease the fear of it, but it lets people know that they’re not alone.”

Parents and students should know schools can present coronavirus data in different ways. The key is that districts be transparent.
