Students of color most likely to be learning online: Districts must work even harder on race equity

Research showing that Black, Hispanic, and Asian students are, on average, around fifteen percentage points more likely than white students to live in a “remote-only” school district. 

The researchers conclude that in the absence of aggressive policy interventions, this online learning gap could widen existing educational disparities by race. Six suggestions for addressing the issue are included at the end of the article.
