Lebanon schools got creative with their drop-off site. They brought in orange cones, detour signs and city trucks. They turned it into a construction zone because they were building community while collecting items for families in need.
Princeton schools received a unique donation Thursday — bands in a box. “‘Band in a Bus’ actually donated all these boxes and they called it band in a box … In the box, they had drumsticks and they had straws and they had a bag of beans and beads, and they also had a kazoo,” said Princeton Superintendent Tom Burton. Immediately after those donations came in, they were in the hands of Woodlawn Elementary School students who didn’t skip a beat and got right to a music lesson.
