Beech Acres Parenting Center CEO to retire after four decades

Cincinnati Business Courier |

Jim Mason will retire as CEO of Beech Acres Parenting Center after more than four decades leading the Cincinnati nonprofit.

Beech Acres provides programs and services to help parents and caregivers to raise children. Its roots trace back to 1849 when a local Protestant German association agreed to build a new orphanage for children whose parents died during the cholera epidemic.

Mason spearheaded the organization’s evolution from a 19th-century orphanage to a 21st-century parenting center that addresses the complex and rapid changes facing parents, the release states.
