Oak Hills Schools will return to full in-person learning on Oct. 19. The district had just returned to blended learning on Monday.
Superintendent Jeff Brandt said the district has based its decisions on the alert level from Hamilton County but it’s learned that may not be the most accurate depiction of the virus in the Oak Hills community.
Brandt said in a letter home to families that the county alert level doesn’t necessarily correspond to the number of cases in the community.
Now that Oak Hills has its own COVID-19 dashboard numbers and can take into consideration local zipcode data, Hamilton County Public Health updates and communication with medical and community leaders, Brandt said the district feels safe with full in-person learning.
