Mason City Schools interested in rapid coronavirus testing program

WLWT |

DeWine is planning a pilot program that would include select schools and families.

“What we’re going to do for schools that we can do this trial, and we intend to do this trial, with new quick tests, we’re going to allow that student who was close to the other student to stay in school but to test them,” Gov DeWine said.

Mason City Schools is one district in our area that’s interested in being part of the initial study. “We’d be very interested in bringing more data and science to the table,” Superintendent Jonathan Cooper said. Cooper said 70% of kids in the district are doing in-school learning. So far, more than one thousand students have had to quarantine.
