CPS extending distance learning, may return to blended learning at end of January

Cincinnati Public Schools announced Wednesday it will extend remote learning following a surge in COVID-19 cases throughout the community.

CPS says the increase in COVID-19 cases has led to staffing challenges as teachers and staff have to stay home if they get sick or have to quarantine or take care of a sick family member.

The CPS Board of Education says it will review community and staff health data on Jan. 16 and says there is the possibility it will return to blended learning at the end of January. CPS made the move to return to remote learning in late November with the goal to return to in-person learning by Jan. 4.
