Ottawa Hills Local Schools and Maumee City Schools Tuesday announced plans to return to remote learning for grades K-12. Officials from both districts said remote learning for all students is slated to begin Dec. 7 and last until at least Jan. 11.
This decision follows the Lucas County Regional Board of Health’s resolution last week ordering schools to close building doors for in-person learning. The resolution is specifically for students in grades 7 through 12, and allows grades K through 6 to remain in person. The resolution was recommended to take effect immediately but requires schools to comply by Friday at 4 p.m.
The mandate also applies to all public, private, charter, and parochial schools in the county.
