Dr. O’dell Owens, who’s also served as Hamilton County coroner and medical director/interim health director of the Cincinnati Health Department, took over the role effective Dec. 1, succeeding the Rev. Michael J. Graham, president of Xavier University, who is retiring from his post.
Owens, current president and CEO of Interact for Health and InterAct for Change, a local foundation and nonprofit, respectfully, has served on the Preschool Promise board since its formation in 2017, one of many similar positions he maintains. He holds both an M.D. and a master’s of public health from Yale University Medical School.
Preschool Promise is an initiative to expand high-quality pre-kindergarten education in the city of Cincinnati.
