Financial assistance for Ohio students who rely on free, reduced meals extended through end of school year

Ohio families with students who rely on free and reduced meals will continue to receive money to buy food through the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer program through the end of the school year, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services announced Tuesday.

ODJFS said it has received approval to extend the food benefits for Ohio children “who normally receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program but learned remotely (or a hybrid of remote and in-person learning) during the school year, due to the COVID-19 emergency.”
