Toledo teachers and unionized administrators have received a 2 percent pay raise and an extra check of one week’s pay as part of an extension to their collective bargaining agreements that expired June 30 last year.
The cost of the one-year salary adjustment will be $3.9 million, according to Toledo Public Schools Treasurer Ryan Stechschulte.
Prior to the raise, a teacher at the first step with just a bachelor’s degree was paid $40,489. A teacher at 15 years with a master’s degree was paid $73,613, and a teacher at the top of the scale with the highest level of education would be paid $84,545.
